“Good things come in small packages” ~ Boston Dynamics.

First off, what is SpotMini? SpotMini is a small four-legged robot that comfortably fits wherever you put it (like an office or home).  It weighs about 25 kg (30 kg if you include the arm). SpotMini is all-electric and can go for about 90 minutes on a charge, depending on what it is doing. SpotMini inherits it’s mobility from its “big brother” Spot, with the added addition of a moveable arm.

Now we know who SpotMini is, what’s his purpose? He was originally created to help out around the house and take care of daily chores. Boston Dynamics has released video footage of SpotMini doing things “around the house”, such as going up stairs, opening doors, and doing the dishes! Now, I don’t know about you, but I would love to have a robot that does the dishes. This robot is also being tested for both elderly and disabled help. I believe, with a little tweaking, this robot will help lots of people.
